At Secret Garden Distillery, we believe every sip tells a story — a story rooted in nature, nurtured by pollinators, and distilled with purpose. On World Bee Day, we honour one of the most important contributors to our craft: the humble bee.
Bees play a vital role in pollinating the botanicals we grow in our sustainable distillery garden. From vibrant blossoms to fragrant wild herbs, these tiny workers help our garden thrive. 🌿 Without bees, there would be no lavender, no lemon balm, no wild thyme — and ultimately, no Secret Garden Gin.
Our commitment to sustainable craft gin goes beyond what’s in the bottle. We grow our botanicals without pesticides, harvest them by hand, and distill using traditional methods that respect both the land and the wildlife that call it home. Supporting bees means supporting biodiversity — and protecting the natural balance that allows true, seasonal flavour to flourish.
Of course, working in harmony with nature comes with its surprises. During the warmer months, bee swarms occasionally emerge in the garden as colonies search for new homes. These moments can seem a little dramatic, but thanks to our experienced gardeners — who act as unofficial beekeepers — the bees are safely and carefully relocated into new hives where they can continue their essential work. It’s just one of the many ways we care for the land and life that inspires every bottle of Secret Garden Gin.

So today, we raise a glass to the pollinators that make it all possible.
🌿 No bees, no botanicals. No botanicals, no gin.
Support the bees. Celebrate nature. Sip with purpose. Enjoy this small clip of our bees in our Secret Garden Distillery oasis.
