Apothecary Rose & Our Gardens

At our Secret Garden, we are the largest growers of the Apothecary Rose in the Uk. We have actually dedicated an entire part of our garden over to this rose and  The Apothecary Rose garden has paths and beds arranged so that when you look above it looks like a rose petal itself and all the different paths take you back to the beginning. You will not commonly find this rose in many gardens as the actual rose only flowers for one dayf and the whole flowering period last about two weeks. It always times its flowering with and around the summer solstice June 21st and it is a very hectic period for us in harvesting the petals at least twice a day for the two weeks.
