Our resident mixologist has developed a couple of cocktails for the special day devoted to all things love- Valentine's Day. The following drink recipes are single serving, but feel free to double up if you're making drinks for two. Get creative with these cocktail recipes for Valentine’s Day using a couple of the Secret Garden Distillery's award-winning gins.
First, we have a twist on a classic Negroni. A Negroni is a sweet and slightly bitter-tasting drink that’s reminiscent of an aperitif but packs a huge punch. It’s perfect as a cocktail pre- or during dinner, as the bitter notes highlight the flavours of food very well. In our version we are using our award winning Rose gin. You can find the recipe here:
Prepare a rocks glass with a large ice cube and peel a 1” x 4” strip of orange peel and trim as needed.
Next, build the drink over ice with:
Stir for 30 seconds, garnish, and enjoy immediately.

Our second offering is our variation on the French 75.
The French 75 is named for the fast-firing 75-millimetre field gun that was utilized by the French during World War One. Consisting of gin, fresh lemon juice, sugar and Champagne, the drink is a lot friendlier than the name implies. Our Valentines pink gin cocktail version using our Elderflower & Jasmine gin: one of the floral gins inspired by our Garden.

How to make a French 75:
Prepare a flute glass and peel a 1” x 4” strip of lemon peel and trim as needed.
Pour your ingredients (excl. Champagne) into a shaker:
Shake until chilled then double strain into a flute glass and top with champagne.
Garnish, and enjoy immediately
